Advanced Industrial Technology (AIT) Program

The Advanced Industrial Technology pathway prepares students to install, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial machinery used in manufacturing settings. Ā Students gain high-tech skills related to electrical, electronics, mechanics, and computerized systems.

- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Troubleshooting skills
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Fabrication
- Hydraulics/Pneumatics
- Welding
Program competencies are based on NIMS (National Institute of Metalworking Skills). Courses include hands on-real world applications and are offered online, hybrid and face to face. Ā The job outlook for this career is projected to grow 16% from 2014 to 2024 which is much faster than the average growth for all occupations (BLS, U.S. DOL, Occupational Outlook Handbook). Ā The increased adoption of sophisticated manufacturing machinery is driving this projected growth.
